Sauté Cook

As Sauté Cook, you’ll be working the stove to sauté ingredients for the Bagel Slinger.  This position is a great fit if you have a love for cooking breakfast food, take pride in consistency of product and enjoy working as a team.

What you’ll do:

A successful Sauté Cook will have an eye for detail, aiming to prepare food as if one were feeding their loved ones.  Communication and teamwork with the Bagel Slinger is a priority for not only the Cook’s success, but the Restaurant’s success as a whole.

Tasks:

  • Sauté ingredients per order

  • Cut, chop, marinate and cook regular restaurant dishes according to specific cooking instructions

  • Operate kitchen equipment such as oven, cookers and mixers

  • Washing and cleaning the kitchen area, cooking utensils and storing the equipment at end of shifts

  • Track inventory and prepare specialized dishes or sauces according to specific recipes

Recommended Experience: 

  • Over 18 years old

  • Ability to work on your feet for up to 8 hours

  • Multitasking is easy for you

  • Positive attitude when you walk in the building that remains throughout the shift

  • Ability to read email communications in a timely fashion and respond appropriately

  • Consistent availability

  • Strong organization, clear communication and active listening skills
